SFA will put up an ACU-style (vs. UNT, not Tech) fight but still not enough. We will put the game away in the second and third quarters while giving up some garbage stats in the 4th.

I think 55-17 is about right, but I don’t want to steal someone’s score so I’ll say…

UNT: 52-14

I feel like anything less than 42-17 is going to be a letdown.

Not a prediction, but a stat from the South Bama fan forum...

Right now, before Boston College plays their first game against FSU tonight, we are looking at the following top 5 passing offenses in the country following game one:
Ole Miss - 529 yards per game
Auburn - 451 yards per game
North Texas - 446 yards per game
Colorado - 445 yards per game
South Alabama - 432 yards per game

USA/UNT at least played each other as FBS teams. Ole Miss played Furman, Auburn played Alabama A&M, and Colorado played North Dakota State. (Just don’t look at passing defense stats!).

If we scored that many points, in the opener, on the road, with a new QB, against a not FCS defense....I have to think we're capable of scoring nearly or more this week. The only reason we don't is because we won't need to.

Just don't let our guard down and disappoint.

UNT - 45

SFA - 21

Until our defense grows up, and shows it can play consistently,  I'm a little nervous.

Go Mean Green!

Not a prediction, but some pretty accurate takes from the SFA board: UNT one weakness though is their defense...North Texas basically just out scores you.

Morris has quickly turned UNT Football into one of the top offensives in the nation, having a 3,000 yard passing QB, a 1,000 yard receiver, while averaging almost 500 yards in total offense a game (6th in the nation) #12 in passing offense (305 yards) and #21 in rushing (191.2 yards) scoring 35 points a game in 2023.

This season the Mean Green have not skipped a beat, kicking things off in Mobile, Alabama scoring 52 points against South Alabama, with 550 total yards of offense.

...I have no clue how we will look against an opponent who can defend themselves.

#BigDumbScorePrediction aside, here is what I am thinking right now:  UNT wins by 2-3 possessions.  ESPN Analytics have the Mean Green heavily favored, but I think Carthel has his team fired up and prepared to compete.

Speaking of this game, anyone have any idea about whether or not there are GA tickets available for this game? I have a buddy trying to buy GA tickets online, but it doesn’t have any availability?

Saw some on the resale sites, didn't see them available on the athletics website.
