10. All of a sudden, North Texas at Texas Tech is Week Three is interesting

This game originally was written off as blowout potential due to Texas Tech running back Tahj Brook's dominance against a weak North Texas rush defense. But if Abilene Christian diced up the Red Raiders secondary, what could North Texas head coach Eric Morris scheme up for new quarterback Chandler Morris? Chandler threw for 415 yards and had five total touchdowns in his Mean Green debut.

I always thought that they should have received the C-USA invite in 2013 instead of UTSA.

They’re on the schedule for 2026 (San Marcos) and 2030 (Denton).

We will play in San Marcos in 2026, and they will return in 2030. I'll be interested to see how much more conference realignment has f**ked things up by that 2030 Denton game.
