Not surprising at all.  It always takes a few years to implement Willie Fritz's systems wherever he goes.  He had an overwhelmingly losing record his first 6 years at Tulane.  It will be interesting to see if Houston has the patience for it.  If not, they never should have hired him in the first place.

I agree.  I love Willie Fritz.  I'm just stating the facts of the game having watched it.

Houston has no patience.  Applewhite got two years, 15-11, then fired.  Holgorsen got 4 years, 31-28, buyout for $15mil.

I'm sure there are already "Fire Fritz" posts on their boards, as many didn't like the hire.

I happen to know one school who’s fans wouldn’t have the patience for it🤣🤣🤣

Fritz would have been fired almost anywhere, including here, with those first 6 seasons at Tulane. How he lasted a 7th year, I have no clue.
