During the past offseason, North Texas recruited transfers and freshmen at every position group, some of whom are expected to make significant contributions in the upcoming 2024 season. The team also saw the return of many key players who are poised to play pivotal roles in the upcoming campaign.

In the first season under head coach Eric Morris and the program's debut in the American Athletic Conference, the Mean Green implemented a 3-3-5 defensive scheme. However, the defense struggled, ranking last nationally in yards allowed per game (476.4) and rushing yards allowed per game (255.2). 

The offense differed greatly from the defense. North Texas was ranked No. 21 among FBS teams in scoring offense with an average of 34.5 points per game and sixth in the country in total offense, averaging 495.8 yards per game.

Not sure how some of these guys are considered under-the-radar but definitely a good list of names that have consistently come up with praise in the media availability sessions this fall.

I mentioned this on twitter. Either it is indicative of the lack of access to practice or we are in trouble that there aren’t more players to talk about in this sense from the 70 newbies. Could also be lazy journalism? 🤷🏻‍♂️
