Latest on OSU/WSU vs MWC
$18 million exit fee to MWC for each school, which this ESPN article says the PAC2 could/would help with. This is what many expected OSU and WSU to do. Cherry pick schools from the MWC to re-form their own Conference. They need 8 total to be a viable Conference again. The other invites will be very interesting. I probably have a little nostalgia having transferred to North Texas in 1998 so the Dickey years were in my wheelhouse...but I think objectively, we didn't get our "butts kicked" in OOC. We didn't win (and there was always an argument that DD was too conservative in those games) but our defense usually kept us in some of those games until the talent difference showed up. Especially early in Dickey's tenure. The other thing, we played some BIG programs in that time because we had NO money: OU, UT, Bama, A&M, LSU, Arkansas Different eras, different standards....I get it. -

I didn't see anything that could be labeled an offense out of SMU. It was, however, offensive. You should look to pick up Preston Stone in the portal for next year -

Aaaaaaaaand, another SMU thread? On a serious note, their offense has been so erratic, Preston Stone has been benched. UNT should keep an eye out for him in the portal, he's too good to sit on the bench. I watched most of that game as well, they turn the ball over 3 times inside the BYU 5 yard line and only lose by 3 points. SMU's defense is really good again.- 2
