NEW LOCATION for 2024! Come watch the Mean Green play from directly across the street from the UNT Frisco Campus at Wings Over Frisco Bar & Grill. Pick up some Mean Green swag and sign up for the half time drawing to possibly win UNT prizes. The game video and audio will be broadcast throughout the restaurant. Austin UNT Alumni Chapter

It's Time Again to give a CHEER for the U of NT. Our home for our Football Watch Party will be at Brick's in South Austin this year near the corner of Slaughter and Menchaca. The dinner (and brunch til 2 pm) menu is tasty and reasonably priced. Come join your Mean Green Family in Austin and we will have a little bit of Swag to give away.

3:30 P.M.: Registration and networking
4:00 P.M.: Game watch party kickoff
7:00 P.M.: Closing remarks and networking
There is plenty of street parking available near Tom's watch bar including several parking lots between Toyota Center and GreenStreet!
Family-friendly event! Bring the kiddos!

We’re excited to support the upcoming watch parties with a special "Mean Green" drink, and we’ll be offering $4 draft beers to anyone wearing UNT-themed attire during the games.
Additionally, as a way to show our support for the community, we’re pleased to offer a 10% discount every day of the week for UNT staff, alumni, and current students who visit us wearing UNT clothing.

More to come, but the Tarrant County Alumni Chapter Network is working on plans to hold watch parties at Boomer Jacks in Bedford.

I've learned that they are moving from Boomer Jacks to a different location.  I'll post something new once I learn what they are doing.

Is there any expectation that the Houston alumni will host a weekly watch party? I will be in town for Texas Tech

      $18 million exit fee to MWC for each school, which this ESPN article says the PAC2 could/would help with. This is what many expected OSU and WSU to do….cherry pick schools from the MWC to re-form their own Conference. They need 8 total to be a viable Conference again. The other invites will be very interesting. Would we, should we?       New Helmets Unveiled‼️

      I probably have a little nostalgia having transferred to North Texas in 1998 so the Dickey years were in my wheelhouse...but I think objectively, we didn't get our "butts kicked" in OOC. We didn't win (and there was always an argument that DD was too conservative in those games) but our defense usually kept us in some of those games until the talent difference showed up. Especially early in Dickey's tenure. The other thing, we played some BIG programs in that time because we had NO money: OU, UT, Bama, A&M, LSU, Arkansas Different eras, different standards....I get it.
