I feel I need to defend Lance Dunbar's honor and make sure he's on the honorable mention list. He was the only source of enjoyment from UNT football 2009-2011. It seems his accomplishments are devalued compared to others because he played under Dodge.

-All time rushing leader (4,224 yds)

-Most career TDs (49)

-Single game rushing record (313 yds)

-Most career points (294)

-3-time all conference selection

-2-time honorable mention All American

Yes, he should be on that list as should Eric Pegram; who IMO was a better rb, but  played on some bad NT teams.

FTI, I think the assistant coach talking to Joe is Herb Ferrell.

It is.  He was also the golf coach, taking over in 1955 from Fred Cobb who had passed away.  He led North Texas to 13 Missouri Valley Conference Championships, two 3rd place finishes in the NCAA Championships and two runner-up finishes in the NCAA Championship.

We used to host the Cobb/Ferrell Classic every year.
