"Henigan, who has started since his true freshman season, will be the rare quarterback to start four years at one university. Silverfield said other schools tried to pluck Henigan from his roster last season, but after discussion, it was clear to both sides that nothing needed to change.

"We were very candid with one another, very transparent like him and I have always been," Silverfield said. "I think loyalty is getting harder to find in college football."

Speaking of loyalty and continuity: Silverfield is in his ninth year at Memphis, having joined Mike Norvell's staff in 2016 as an offensive line coach."

Refreshing to see a talented young college athlete who is obviously more than a Pavlovian jock drooling after every dollar that drifts by.

Must not have tried that hard.

So the fact that he went to another school is evidence that we didn’t “try that hard” to get him?

Usually we see some fanfare about big recruits we go after, especially QBs. So yeah, I don't think they tried that hard.

Most kids want to get away from home.

Some;  but Memphis?  That's not most kids dream location or school.

Maybe he went to our last of 4 straight New Orleans bowls, and watched them whip out arses, with Danny wimprine at qb.

or maybe he’s a good friend of Darrel Dickey, and he hated how it ended here, but loved seeing him revitalize his career at Memphis.

or he thought he there was no way he was going to beat out number 1 pick Jason Bean before he transferred.

we will never know.

Also, we should be more upset that we didn’t go after Kaiden Salters when he got in trouble at Tenn. he’s from the metroplex, btw.

How did a thread about Memphis' playoff chances turn into a Seth Littrell hate thread lol

Have to ask @peanuts104  Seems to have an unhealthy obsession with SL hate.
