Mean Green Kickoff at DATCU - Saturday Aug 3rd 4-7 PM

Got the email for this today.  Hope to see all of you on Saturday.

Does anyone know if they're doing anything (gifts???) for the season ticket holders at this event? 

Once upon a time, you used to get something tangible; we even got plastic hanging tix for CL!  Now all I get is a text that my e-tix are ready.  It feels like it might as well have been a text from Doordash telling me my $50 doordash'ed wings are sitting on the front porch.

Hamilton Tiger-cats scout in attendance at open practice. I asked what we needed to do to get Mason back on the roster. He said he was surprised he wasn't on a team right now but there were a couple of injuries last week that may allow Mason to receive a call soon. Maybe he was just entertaining me.

Since Mason played with Saskatchewan he may not have known much about him.

He was talking to LB coach Brian Odom after practice, maybe about Hamilton native Jaylen Smith??

Chandler Morris wasn't there today because of a Death in Family per HFC Morris. But Cash looked good for a Freshman.

Did any other QB's play and how did they look?

Other overall team impressions?  Kickers?  Are we bigger?

Rotated QB's thru so those present went thru drills. Cash maybe the real deal.

Defense still the biggest worry but they did have some good plays. I mean we're still in wk#1 of fall practice

Punters(2 that I saw) average about 35/40 yards...

It was hot. Morris said they were in the IPF prior to going on DATCU field.

Left out that Grant Tisdale had a ruff start but did warm up....

I didn't go......because every year it's the same thing.

They have Jared say a few words. Some times the Prez does too.

Then they have Dave Barnett interview every coach that is there. 

I would rather it be just two hours of mixing and mingling. (with other fans and the coaches).

They could have tables set up for season tix, donations and whatnot.

I would rather have a minute or two to talk to a coach....and then leave him/her, to visit with other fans.

I wish they would try something new. The Barnett interviews get old (to me anyway).
