What’s the “or” for?  I guess Asenuga has really shown the coaches that he can play!   Hope Blair is okay and it’s not an injury concern.

I think Gabe was one of those hampered by something but not season-ending.

Yeah I think it was a torn ACL. He missed the UAB game at the end of the season and was out for the offseason/spring (presumably surgery). Where he is at seems pretty consistent with a 9-month ACL recovery, given that he played the second to last game of the year.

If you boys were playing a football game, you'd be penalized for piling on. Hope you feel better and I'll be more careful about peeing in your Wheaties.

You guys are pathetic. And BTW, I stand corrected.

Here is the deal. NO ONE has heard of Mestemaker prior to SUMG posting comments that Vito made about him working his way up the QB roster. The main difference between this guy and Mason Fine is that Mason Fine might have come from a very small school in Oklahoma, but he was very well known there as he was setting passing records left and right during his HS career. Near as I can tell, Mr. Mestemaker was an all-around good athlete at his school and a very good student. But (once again, near as I can tell) that was about it.

So it looks as if we have the makings of a very interesting story here.

I am really hoping we get a chance in the second half against SFA to let both of the freshmen get some snaps. However, with our defense it's hard to tell.

The main story, however, is that this staff put us in a situation where our backup QB is a walk on freshman.
