AAC Media Day - UNT Press Conference

Recommended Posts

The question was about recruiting Denton high schools .   Just as Coach Morris started to answer, somebody’s fight song started playing followed by an American Athletic Conference commercial.  Does anyone know how he answered ?

I caught that.  Sounds like something that happened in the post-production, and not in-person at the conference.

Regardless, it's a blunder.

My recollection was that he talked about there being two types of kids, those that are interested in staying close to home and those that want to get far away from home.  He didn’t use this as an excuse but rather part of the student decision making that UNT has to compete with when recruiting in Denton.  I think he also mentioned one of the conferences premier quarterbacks being from Denton.  (I’m assuming he was speaking of Memphis’ QB.)
