I’m stoked about this kid! I hope we land him.  I think we get 2 years out of him if he is successful with us.  I think his game is perfect for morris’ offense. We need to put some weight on him, but he also is a threat with his legs that adds a killer dimension to Morris’ offense.

Did Darden put up those kinds of numbers as a HS QB?  The guy threw 40 TDs last season.

I'm glad for the positive publicity that this signing might generate. BUT until such time as when he is wearing a NT uniform and taking snaps in spring (or fall) practice.......meh.

As a freshman, we may be able to use him in certain packages…like how we used Stone a couple of seasons ago. His sophomore year he might be able to compete for playing time with Cash/Morris.  This is a really good thing!

It does seem somewhat empty as opposed to years past when we landed a HS QB and the excitement of his future in Denton.

I was speaking more from a physical stature point of view. If memory serves, I believe Darden was an option QB.

Unfortunately, his best role should be as an athlete as I do not see him being a great college QB. He backed out of his commitment to TCU because of his desire to play QB. I had a chance to see his North Crowley team play Duncanville in their regional final game last year (In Mesquite). Like all others, not named DeSoto, Duncanville destroyed them and held Jemison in check. N Crowley was undefeated going into the game and was a top 5 6A team statewide. I expect similar impressive numbers from him in the fall and another great NC run. They will again be a top 5 (6A) contender but have difficulties getting past the district of doom's representative (Duncanville, DeSoto, Cedar Hill, Waxahachie, Lancaster, and an improved Skyline). The great thing for UNT is in picking up a 2nd tier recruit/athlete that we should always sign each year.  He is a good HS dual threat guy which is needed to compensate for his lack of size. A little more explosive than Chandler Rogers out of the pocket but not the track speed of a Jason Bean. North Crowley is as talented as any other program in the state, and it always helps to build on that pipeline.
