I'm sorry to hear this news. I knew Greg's father Merle many decades ago when he was the General Manager of A J Foyt Chevrolet in Houston. Merle was an outstanding man and he was so proud of his son Greg. Greg had played at NTSU and was then playing for the Houston Oilers during the Luv Ya Blue days. The North Texas helmet in his office was the first time that I had ever seen the "Flying Worm". Merle later became the GM of our local Rolls Royce dealership in Houston.

Decades later I met his son Greg when Greg's son Beau was transferring from Syracuse to North Texas. Beau completed this career at North Texas, served as assistant coach at several colleges, and is now the General Manager of the Memphis Tigers football program. (I had never heard of college GM's before NIL)

Anyway, they're a wonderful family, and Greg's passing is certainly also a loss to our Mean Green family.
