Air Force Serious Target For AAC
Best scenario = AAC adds Air Force, UNLV, Nevada, and TXST/New Mexico (I'd rather have TXST but New Mexico might make landing UNLV/Nevada easier). This would make the AAC the deepest and probably best G5 conference. It would also leave the Pac 12 with limited expansion options. -

That argument didn't work for the 10 programs that left the PAC. The MWC is considered to still be viable and has 2 years to get to the required 8 schools. They could pick off UTEP and New Mexico State from CUSA where the reported buyout is only $800,000. Also the business community in Sacramento wants to build a new stadium for Sac. St. and move up to D1 joining the MWC. Seems like a pipe dream but as Sargent Clink used to say ," I know nothing." -
