Well, I am sure playing time was a big factor in their decisions.

I wonder if they feel like they improved  their situation by moving so very far down in competition ?

While I am not a fan of the portal madness....I never begrudge a kid when they leave....because of lack of playing time. And while lower down the "food chain".....Lamar and UAPB...are both Division 1.

Lamar has a little history on their side.  UAPB is in my Mom's hometown and it is rough now.  I'm not sure I would let my child attend there because of the terrible crime and even worse condition of the city.  Really sad, because it used to be a beautiful town decades ago.

I would hope they give him another shot if he indeed wants to return.

Nope.  He made his bed.  He can sleep in it.

Didn't realize there were so many defenders of Pine Bluff, AR on here.

No you are right PB is unfortunately a dump now. Was a golden city back in the 70s and 80s, then AT&T left and took away lots of jobs

It is really sad.  I have quite a bit of family history from my mother's side in Pine Bluff.  I would love to take my kids there for a day, but have been warned.

Back on topic, I wish both of them well.  I hated that Moore never really seemed to develop his game and Dixon seemed to be just a throw in for the roster last year.  I wish them both well in their new destinations.

We played White Hall High School when I was in high school as a district opponent in all sports. White Hall is considered the "nice" suburb... Pine Bluff is certainly a cesspool.
