Report: CFB 'Super League' to Replace NCAA, CFP Being Discussed by School Presidents

"The current CST outline would create a system that would have the top 70 programs — all members of the five former major conferences, plus Notre Dame and new ACC member SMU — as permanent members and encompass all 130-plus FBS universities," Marchand and Mandel reported.

"The perpetual members would be in seven 10-team divisions, joined by an eighth division of teams that would be promoted from the second tier."

So SMU gets compared to Notre Dame?🤮

We're clearly just like Notre Dame.

ND is dedicated to the God of Roman Catholicism.

BYU is dedicated to the God of Mormonism.

Baylor is dedicated to the God of Evangelical Protestantism.

SMU is dedicated to the God of Money and Finance.

If I'm SMU I don't know if that is something to be proud of or not. While I appreciate financial success you need to be known for something else.

Well, Buggs is bugging out, headed to his 5th stop! Transfer portal and NIL are killing college sports, especially mid-tier schools that have little chance of moving up,

It seems like smu is paying people to write some of the drivel I see like this and stuff about ACC. This concept won't happen. The new league will have maybe half as many programs. You don't see 80 teams in the NFL. Maybe in 200 years.

You know, SMU and it's alumni can be associated with two negative things:

1. Football cheating

2. Enron

#1 is like bribes in Mexico or pretending you didn't find that unmarked graveyard on your construction project - technically not allowed but widespread and expected.

#2 is just plain ol' greed. No big deal, nobody got hurt.

Yet somehow we're worse than Baylor hiding rape and literal murder, or Penn St. facilitating decades of child rape, or Kent State viciously attacking those national guard troops.  It's outrageous.

Those are way worse, but you're local, so it's like sibling rivalry.

Plus, we're just protecting our turf here.  You're the ones throwing cake at us here.

Thinking that SMU was the most egregious cheater in the SWC is hilarious.  Everyone was cheating.  SMU's "sin" was kicking the sh*t out of Texas, A&M, Arkansas, etc.  Those schools were more than fine with paying players.  They just weren't cool with losing to SMU.

So are we all just going to ignore the five dead hookers?
