Christian Moore hits the portal

Well like alot of us expected, C Moore has gone portaling. Kid is talented. Hope he goes somewhere he can get some quality minutes. That now opens up another guard spot.

Should be interesting to see what North Texas adds.

I hope eventually we fill these spots left by guys like Morgan and Moore with players who can regularly be in the rotation. I'd love to have 10 used guys... they don't all get 10 minutes a game or just garbage time minutes, but 10 guys who can be ready and contribute and provide 20+ minutes if needed due to injuries or foul trouble.

Agree.  The bench was a weak spot for us this past season, especially when we had injuries but couldn't backfill with much.  Ross needs to find more players that he has confidence in and allows to actually "play".

That’s the one issue most seemed to see was how we lacked depth. I’m assuming the NIL actually makes they more difficult. Do we want to pay guys like these to just sit there… can we afford more…. I hate the NIL

We were 8 deep which I have to think is about like most teams.  I don’t understand the “we lacked depth” comments.

*edit to say you could argue we were 9 deep considering Stone filled in lots of minutes when we had injuries.

Agreed.  If people are expecting the bench to be filled with players who can step in for injured starters, they should really question why players of that caliber would come here to fill that role.

Players should never sit the entire year on the bench unless redshirting.  Send them into the portal and take a chance on somebody else.  Chris Morgan sat 3 years.
