Enfield isn't taking us to the final four.  But he has a long history of high level recruiting and rebuilding, which is what we need to do quickly.  We can get to where USC is, then reevaluate.  Probably the best we could hope for

Most coaches and ADs feel like they have to re-invent themselves every 7 years or so to new locations to become relevant again.  It was Enfield's time, so he got out of L.A.

Not overwhelmed nor underwhelmed, just whelmed. He does seem to be a competent coach for our prissy little sister school.

Went 105-100 over 11 seasons with USC against their PAC12 competition; that's fairly average against comparable competition and I fail to see what quality makes him so much more desirable to SMU than was Lanier.
