What can’t be overlooked is the job of Coach Hodge and the entire staff to help individual players and the team to overcome adversity through hard work, resilience and love for each other.  This will pay off big short and long term.

Maybe some of the older folks here who are hiding some UNT almanacs can correct me as Sports Reference is missing our history from 1923-1957 (I think those were the years). To add onto our record attendance year:

  • This is our first ever stretch of seven straight winning seasons
  • Postseason ball in four straight years
  • Assuming Hodge continues to work out, this'll be the first time we've had consecutive head coaches with winning records at UNT

This respect is happening as a result of culture that has formed around this sport in our university. It’s so exciting. We get to play along with all those universities from big to small conferences while getting pumped for the upcoming hours and days. Thank you players, Coach Grant and Coach Hodge.
