USA Today article on NIT (UNT mention)

"Last year, North Carolina turned down an invitation to the NIT after missing the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2010 — besides the 2020 competition, which was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The North Texas Mean Green were happy to accept a bid and ended up winning their first NIT title."

LSU tickets are being sold as General Admission for $20 each.

If it were on a weekend I'd go... I wonder if any of Aaron or Rubin's extended families can make the 4-hour trip. Need some Mean Green representation!

Not to look past the Tigers, since as the first showdown showed the game will be no gimme, but I wonder if we could host 2nd round in the unlikely event that Seton Hall goes down.

Buggs is from LA. Sort of a homecoming for him. I’ve seen a large following for him at a few games.

Alot will depend on the mentality of the two teams. Who is more excited about playing in the NIT? It will be interesting to see how hard each team plays. Really quick turnaround. GMG!

Genuinely surprised UNT got into the NIT, but glad they did. Time to turn all the good play into post-season Ws with a chance to make up for one of those Ws that got away early in the season, i.e. LSU

The Johnny Jones Bowl!

If NT loses, he has to powerwalk from Baton Rouge to Denton

He'll be in Stephenville coaching at the time of our game, so he will have to ride bareback to Baton Rouge and then powerwalk shoeless from Baton Rouge to Denton.

LSU fans knocking the NIT....such cry babies!

I can guarantee you there are a few lurking posters that are biting their lip, that would (and possibly will) chime in with how we should be above this NIT stuff.

I like how you get play different teams outside of your conference and also see how you stack up against them.
