Loved watching the team celebrate!  Such a great season….and they’re not done yet!

The athletic had them"on the bubble" in their bubble watch 5 days ago. Might still be a longshot, but if they make it to the tournament final, there is at least a chance they get into the field, even if they lose there.

Looks like all regular season champs that don’t make the NCAAs get into the new Women’s Basketball Invitation Tournament. In our case, since we lost to Tulsa, I think Tulsa would get the nod.

If we don’t win the conference tourney, we could still get an at large, right?  Either NIT or the NCAA.

How can you win your conference regular season and still be on the bubble? That's crazy to me. Oh yeah, it's because we never get respect, we have to earn it.

Plenty of teams win their conference regular season and wouldn't be close to being on the bubble if they lost their league tournament.

Yes. It works the same as the mens, except that there are 4 less at larges. The NIT I think is rather likely at this point. However to make the NCAA tournament I really think they need to at least make the final to have any kind of chance.

Agree. Our RPI right now is 87 and I believe we only played one P5 team, a loss to A&M. With Temple winning last night we now have Tri champions…winner of the conference tournament - NCAA tournament bid, runner up most likely NIT bid.

Part of my point was pointing out there seems to be a new tournament below the Dance and above the WNIT. The new one is actually NCAA sanctioned, unlike the current version of the WNIT.
