I know $50's not bad for all that for us, but is $50 still a lot for a non-SMU student?

This is 2024, the $100 bill is the new $20

I'd donate to send a couple of kids.

On second thought, could I get this deal?

Tickets, transportation and food?  Heck of a deal once you consider buying tickets on your own, driving to the town of the cow, paying for parking, etc...

Fans whine about the AD not trying to attract students to games.  Then whine when they do something to make it easy for students to attend the Tourney and in turn help the team!

I mean, I counted my pennies in school.  I was able to afford things, but only if I then ate even cheaper than I usually did for a week or two afterward.

Honestly I was expecting the university to cover all costs... its not like they need to make money off this, they have busses and drivers, not to mention its good optics for the university to have large student crowd at the games.

Do you really think they'll make money off of this?

I am sure there will be students who would like to go who won't be able to afford to go, and I'm sorry about that.  But I would imagine plenty of college students these days spend more than $50 on a day's worth of recreation and amusement.

Agree 100%

College kids spends lots of money on beer, alcohol, vaping and going to the bar.
