RE: ***The Official Memphis vs North Texas Basketball Thread***
Thanks to the Memphis fans that were at the game
I estimate about 250-300, a lot of local Dallas transplants

Penny chewed out the officials during 3 timeouts (y’all were watching commercials)

Q was not into the game , during warm ups , he sat and watched for about 15 minutes
And then when north Texas left the floor , he went and shot free throws

Our 2 players were 5-23 from the field
Nt 2 players were 11-12 from 3 at one point

I think no 2 called Q a b**** at the end of game
When he was bringing the ball up the court

North Texas must have waxed the floor
A lot of slips and falls, but no travelling called the whole game

Overall they seem to show us more respect than some other teams:

I’d almost rather hear that than listen to someone like Pastner tell us how great North Texas is, when everyone knows they aren’t

To be fair......North Texas is well-coached, they have good players, and run good stuff.

Lots of whining from them about poor officiating or poor coaching.

One did like the ESPN+ commentators...

Memphis doing an excellent job at not guarding the 3.

Also, interesting to see a UAB fan chime in with this:

I came away very impressed by UNT.

You have multiple dynamic, scoring players, and almost everybody can hit an open jumper.

Your team looks better than it did last year to me, despite having a worse record.

The offense is much more dynamic than the McCasland style of “bleed the clock til 2 seconds and let Tylor Perry jack up a contested shot.”

I am honestly shocked that UAB beat UNT at their house. I expect the game Sunday to be a really good one.
