TULSA, Oklahoma – The UNT men’s basketball team is at Tulsa Wednesday for a midweek league game showdown.

The Mean Green (12-9, 5-4) and Golden Hurricane (12-9, 3-6) are scheduled to tip-off Wednesday at 7 p.m. CT from the Donald W. Reynolds Center. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ and the Mean Green Sports Network, presented by Learfield.

Wednesday will be the 53rd all-time meeting between the two schools but the first since 2014 when they both were in Conference USA. UNT is aiming for its first win at Tulsa since 2006.

The American Athletic Conference has been filled with close games this season. Nearly 40 percent of all American league games this year have been decided by four points or fewer and/or have gone into overtime. Only the MEAC has had a higher percentage of games decided by four or less.

Five of North Texas’ last six games have been decided by two possessions or less.

After Wednesday’s contest, UNT travels to Dallas on Sunday to face SMU. The Mean Green beat the Mustangs 68-66 on Jan. 25 at the Super Pit. Sunday’s game is scheduled to tip-off at 1 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on ESPNU and the Mean Green Sports Network, presented by Learfield.
