I may have jumped the gun on this one.... Got caught up with the energy I saw at the pit, both teams throwing haymakers from tip off, players stepping up in key moments, the refs almost handing the game away.....and also dam it feels good to beat SMU!!!

I agree.  Last night convinced me that we should be putting all available resources into basketball now.  I am not proposing shutting down football but basketball is the future and deserves much more.

If donating to one of the collectives, can you designate your contribution to a particular sport?  I love and support football, and I’ve had club seats since the stadium first opened.  But if I’m donating to a collective I want it to go to basketball.  We really need to continue this success and capitalize on it.  Wonder also if basketball could have its own, separate collective?  There’s fewer players to spread the $$$ around to in basketball, and a few wealthy donors plus many small donors could really make an impact.  There might be rules and title 9 issues around this though, that I’m not aware of.

This was incredibly impressive by our guys. They could have easily let the refs get into their heads and let the game get away but they didn’t. Kept on fighting and didn’t deter their aggressiveness on defense one bit. Very proud of them for that. That’s a quality of a championship team.

If Hodge didn't like how he was playing, he wouldn't be out there for 38 minutes a game. He plays good defense and is always a scoring threat. When Jones is healthy, he doesn't have to be a main ball handler.

The Mean Green Collective is only for basketball.  I like football but basketball is our best chance for national recognition.

Terrific win! Grandkids were over and I wasn't able to watch the first half, but the announcers said we set a record for student tickets and they also said, they have never seen the Super Pit like it was last night. Incredible effort by the fans, and players, how do we duplicate what we saw last night, for other teams not named SMU?

Had to watch it on tv and that might be the first time I can remember ESPN announcing being that pumped and excited about anything UNT sports related.  They were literally slobbering over us.  It’s about damn time.  Loved it.  
 

Wish I could’ve been there in person…missed what looked like an epic atmosphere, and it absolutely came through on TV.

Enjoyed the game except for the way it ended. We cannot finish close games. Same thing happened to us against Wisconsin, Arizona St and Dayton. Anyway, I met a lot of very nice UNT fans. Thanks for a fun night. Keep winning and see y’all at Moody in a couple of weeks.

We had a 1k more fans in the pit 2 years ago vs LaTech. I think the CBI final vs San Fran had more fans. It's doable. The athletic department has to stay consistent in marketing, and the program has to continue to be steady.

I was only at a couple of these games, but I still to this day feel (I guess it’s a feeling and not fact….) that the OSU game was more packed than the Tech game and last night based on the TV since I couldn’t make it. It was difficult to find seating outside of the top 5-6 rows across the very top of the stadium. Tech and last night still had gaps at the lower level of the top.

I was also at both (I specifically came back to DFW for both) and felt that the TTU game had more fans in attendance.  I was actually surprised it was as close as it was (there were about 400 more at Tech).

I just don't get why you want to demean the attendance the day after such a great effort?  I get that there were other well attended games but maybe we should give it a couple of days.

That's the first time I have seen SMU play since Larry Brown or Jank was the coach, what has happened to their program? I don't even think they had a point guard did they?
