FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Dunk City has pulled off another surprise.

A decade or so removed from making the Sweet 16 of the 2013 NCAA Tournament as a No. 15 seed, Florida Gulf Coast made a splash again Saturday night -- this time taking down a Florida Atlantic team that made the Final Four last season and was ranked No. 7 in the country this week.

Most teams play 2-3 games every year where they are not playing as fast or hard as they normally do.

FAU has lost so few games going back to last season, I don't know how they respond.  Having said that, I would not want to be their next opponent.

Perhaps looking forward to conference play next week when the fun really begins.

Rubin Jones basically said that's what we did against LSUS on Saturday and that's why the game was so close until about 8:47 left in the game.
