I’ll catch some of this game. Haven’t watched either team this year.

Here watching the game. Good turnout. Texas State traveled very well

I’m watching the game.  What cheapens this Bowl game is they didn’t paint anything in either end zone referencing withe the bowl or the teams playing.  End zones still have the smut mustang name.  IMO, this cheapens the bowl, makes it seem….dirty, unclean.

Bowls generally try to emphasize their status by leaving references to the prestigious venues that host them, such as teams from P3 conferences

Not to take anything away but this is the first bowl game in their history so you would expect they would travel well.

Based on their location,growth potential, and willingness to invest, I have said they would be a good addition to the American.

First bowl, game is in state, a lot of fans are on holiday break right now too. It’s the perfect storm for a good fan turn out. Good for them!

I still think they are second in line:

1. Georgia State 

2. Texas State

…and would roadrunner have objections and try to block their addition.

yeah smu end zones is silly. One month since regular seasons end. Smu will do anything for attention.  Crowd looks good on tv. Rice is much improved despite this game. Defense is solid.

I still prefer playing La Tech. Let’s play TSU if they are conference mates one day. Sic’em on the Runners at this time.

Who considers the ACC a "power" conference while leaving out the Big XII?  It sounds like SMOO is still carrying that "woman scorned" attitude.
