There is something going on behind the scenes with this young man.  He has too much talent to not get on the field much for LSU.  Hopefully he can get closer to home and figure it out.

If he does, this is a homerun for us.  I don't mind giving a kid a chance as long as he isn't a cancer to the team.  That LSU was willing to let him come back tells me that he is not.

I love that we are getting this level of transfer, even if he comes with a question mark.

The reactions to your comment are perplexing. Took a few minutes of research to see there is some unexplained stuff. He was left off the team at one point at LSU for unknown reasons and also transferred to OU for 2 months before going back to LSU. He had three separate stints at LSU where he left the team before returning. https://lsutigerswire.usatoday.com/2023/08/09/lsu-football-tre-bradford-second-chance-brian-kelly-explains/#

That isn’t a hater comment to make given his history. Hopefully he balls out and it comes together at North Texas.

So, you also have no idea why he had these issues

How is talking about the news surrounding a player in a forum where we discuss North Texas football something that bothers you? Neither my comment nor the one I responded to are hating for the sake of it, we hope he does well. It’s still a great pickup for the school.

Definitely worth taking a flier on, but would be dangerous to count on this guy,

Thankfully we got transfer RB Zach Evans and recruit Kiefer Sibley. Bradford could very well be the most talented of the group, but he’ll need some tough love

Speaking of RB's, what is the status of Farrar?

As far as I know, he is still on roster. I feel like he'll most likely serve as main PR/KR if he decides to stay. It'll be interesting to see if he can make the rotation this year!

Gilbert was his HS head coach. Kids had some problems but I think if anyone can get him on the right track it's Gilbert.  Worth the gamble

Just reading the stuff that was officially reported my first reaction was/is "is this young man bipolar?".

If he is, I’d hope we can try and get him the help he needs.. I highly doubt he made it all that time at LSU without someone trying to get him help, but he’s back with his HS coach where to my knowledge he didn’t have issues.

No, while he is here his primary coach is Coach Cobbs.  Coach Cobbs has the first and last word on how this young man fits into the system. If this young man doesn't like the decisions that Coach Cobbs is making, he had better jump somewhere else and do it quick. Because this team doesn't need someone who can cause trouble in the locker room. And long ago, Coach Cobbs has earned the right to be treated with  the utmost respect.

So I certainly hope that Coach Cobbs has been signing off on the process from the very beginning.

Not sure why you got downvoted for this.  Would you get downvoted for suggesting he had diabetes, cancer, asthma, etc.  All are legitimate conditions that require treatment.

Whatever the issue might be, I hope he can get the help he needs.  If that enables him to help us in football, great, but my main concern would be for his future well being.
