This kid has been slept on for the past 2 years. We really need to flip him from Sam Houston St. Another Mason Fine prospect playing for arguable the best high school team in Texas history; against the best competition. If he isn't a G5 starter he is a legit backup. His height is the only reason he is not P5.

I felt the same way about Henry from SOC last year and he ended up at SMU. That Desoto team….wow.

Of course, the way things go today, take a chance and let him go to Sam and then transfer in if he produces.

  We needed to move on from SL at that point. I don’t fault the selection; it offered upside as compared with SL. But of course there was also downside. The lack of preparedness for the first game last season was a major alarm. Fortunately there is some fluff in the conference. Now we somehow appear to be among the fluff. I don’t think we should go down this path any further.

  The Band
  
  I’ve mentioned it before and I’m not dissing anyone’s musical talent, but our band is just kind of boring. At places where the band is more prominent than DATCU, there’s usually a reason. The band adds an element of entertainment. Our band plays a lot of “traditional band music” instead of stuff today’s fan is going to find fun.
