Player enters the portal.

Damn! I hate that guy! I hope he ruptures his spleen!

Player changes mind, exits portal.

Yes! What a guy! Heart of a champion!

Of course we let good players come back. We need them. Any heartache we felt when they tried to leave can be worked out with our therapist.

So true!

No ill feelings towards Earle if he had transferred or now that it appears he's staying. But I really hope he's not our best option by August 2024.

So when Chandler Rogers realizes he may end up 2nd on the Cal depth chart, do we want him back here?

The awkward moment when your new school is shopping for a 5 star QB.

He's chasing the NFL. Unfortunately, he didn't realize putting up 4000 yards and 40 TDs at UNT is better than warming the bench elsewhere. He's good enough to start almost anywhere but if Cal lands the former number 1 overall recruit, that guy may win the QB battle on name alone.

He could wind up like Denton's Spence Sanders - Transfer as the starter and sit on the bench. I guess the NIL was more important than playing (hopefully, he had performance clauses and got very little).

P.S. To put the topping on his final season, he's academically ineligible for the bowl game.

Yes; the NFL will find you if you are playing and put up good stats.  Potentially not playing, and not being seen, should have been a bigger consideration.

Maybe we on this board let those in the program make those decisions and we just continue to support our players, coaches, and support staff.

Just my perspective. Feel free to have your own.

I do and I will
