Women improve to 7-1 with win against Pepperdine

I was at this game. It was night and day between the first and second half. Coach Burton must have lit a fire under their butts with his own suit because he came out in the second half with a different suit on and they basically shut Pepperdine down.

Kernal coming with Burton from Commerce has been a special get for the squad--top-5 nationally in FTM (tied with Caitlin Clark). Obviously it's very early in the season, but so far this is the best-rated WBB team we've had on CBB Reference.

She’s been really good for us. I just love her game. 
PG play needs to be better IMO. We don’t really have anyone to set up or playmake for us (except Kernal).

Good wins vs SFA and Pepperdine. The rest…cream puff teams. However, you play the schedule and beat these beatable teams.

The football board asked a question about scheduling. It was along the lines of quality losses vs wins. I haven't paid attention to women's basketball at UNT in never. Now, I'll keep my eye on them because they are winning, and I don't care who they're playing. A record never has to be explained. As John Madden, sike, Bill Parcells once said, you are what your record says you are.
