I respect your opinion and agree that not all players go into the portal for the same reason but as a public school teacher for over 30 years, this is how most of our young people think today. It IS generation specific. Times, attitudes and behavior have changed greatly over the past 8-10 years, just ask any teacher or coach.

The portal has changed college football as it gives opportunities for athletes who are not getting playing time to seek an opportunity  elsewhere and those that successful to play at a higher level, which is where the NIL probably comes in. It may be legal but it will ruin college sports as we know it. There is no way the G6 programs can pay their players as much as P4 schools, which should bring about a split in D1 athletics. The P4 schools will remain D1, G6 schools become D1a, and the D1aa programs remain where they are. Just an old man's opinion.

We all know that but we will have to work within this disadvantage.

I'm just adding context to the portal guys. Listing stats, if any, is an important metric imo.

I appreciate it homie! So far, at least the last few, rarely saw the field so yeah. Hopefully they find somewhere they can get some action.

At the moment we have 30 plus open spots. That's kind of exciting. We have these guys on the staff with strong connections to the area. Let's see how it shakes out.

Best of luck to the guys leaving, we can find replacements in the portal and juco ranks. Notice a pattern with the guys leaving?

Ayo Adeyi (Transfered here from a D3 school)

Isaiah Johnson (Littrell signed him out of HS)

Logan Wilson ( 3rd time to transfer. He played at Kansas State and ULM before here.)

Stone Earle ( Transfer from ACU)

Ja'Mori Maclin (Transfer from Missouri)

Ethan Miner (Transfer from Arkansas State)
