According to his Instagram, it seems Maclin is going to enter the portal. Definitely a money deal happening between other schools.

With Eric Morris’ system, I’m not crying about losing any offensive player. When has this roster NOT had a star receiver?

Heck, even the really bad Dodge teams had Casey Fitzgerald. Wide receivers grow on trees and their were dozens of guys sitting on the bench for P5 programs who could have the type of season that Maclin just had if you insert them in that role here. 
 

It is now Morris’ job to find them.

Can't blame him for taking the money. He held up his end of the deal by playing great and going to class and graduating. Good Luck to him. Next man up!

Losing Maclin hurts.

We seem to lose a star receiver almost every year due to portal or graduation. Perhaps losing starting O-linemen are more concerning.

So, I love everyone that talks about "give them time to learn the playbook" whether it is an offensive or defensive player, but this is a prime example of not having a chance to learn. How do keep a player long enough to learn the playbook?
