Finished with a team high in points and was getting into a groove later in the game. He has played some of his best games against the big schools, like Kansas, Wisconsin etc

He is fine and to be honest he’s one of the best shooters in the nation. Just got to get adjusted first.

He also had plenty of games for us where he'd be pedestrian until the last 8-10 minutes and then flip the switch and play at an All-American level.  He'll be fine there.

True, that said it's early and next to impossible to draw too many conclusions after one game.  Even without James, USC is quite talented this season (I think they have a chance to finish top 3 in the Pac-12 even if Bronny never plays).  The Big XII is tough as hell though, so it's tough to know how good the Wildcats will do.

But that's true of most everyone.

I watched most of the game.  I am biased, but TP was by far KState’s best player even if he had an off shooting night.  They have a bunch of athletic players but they just toss up bad shots.

So Tylor Perry isn’t expected to play well against good teams? What was all that $$$ for then?

I never said that, just saying that USC is a really good team.

He also played pretty well once he got settled in. It was his first official game and it wasn’t a cupcake game whatsoever.

He is going to quickly earn those big bucks

Give him time. We all thought he was a wasted scholarship after his first couple of games here and he proved everybody wrong.

He's an incredibly skilled player and he's going to do very well at Kansas State.

He struggled shooting early but I recall a play in the first half where he drove hard to the paint, pump faked, got 2 defenders to jump off the ground, and passed it off to an open big for the uncontested basket. It was a really good move.

I didn't watch the whole game but I think the issue early on is they had him off the ball as a catch and shoot threat coming off screens which is not really his game. He's a good shooter off the dribble but breaking loose through multiple defenders at his size does him no favors as the separation isn't always great. Hopefully his shooting numbers are better moving forward. Great memories were made in part thanks to him and I hope he keeps succeeding.

North Texas fans when we faced quality opponents last year:  TP is super clutch and will come through in the end

(Some) North Texas fans this year: TP can’t play against quality opponents and left for money he’ll never deserve….based on one half of one live game

It hurts when your favorite player leaves.
Most people deal with it honestly, and wish him well.  Others can't process the sting of loss & hope to see him fail.
Nothing new around here.

Tyler Perry is gone, we have replaced him with good players, forget him!

I can still root for North Texas as my team while simultaneously rooting for TP in his final year. He led us to debatably our best basketball accomplishment ever.
