Waaaayyyyy to early CBS Bracket Prediction

Decided to have a quick look since it hit my feed  - Only 2 teams from the AAC?  FAU & Memphis no doubt.  Is this what we are to expect in March - 2 teams into the field of 68? 

The transfer portal makes more teams an unknown that ever before, but I was a bit surprised to see that the AAC is viewed as a 2 team conference.  I guess 2 is better than 1, but c'mon!

Off the soapbox for now, but I reserve the right to hop back on as March approaches.

I think AAC will be 3 team!

If AAC has 2 teams, neither will be Memphis. Their roster is taking hits left and right. Prized 27 year old is a no-go. Prized freshman Mikey Williams is also a no-go as he faces 30 years in prison.

The AAC being considered a 2 bid conference before the season even starts is a massive improvement from where we were.

Even without Williams, Memphis should have one of the oldest teams in the country this season. The Tigers were busy in the transfer portal last spring, landing Jordan Brown (23), David Jones (21), Caleb Mills (23), Jahvon Quinerly (24) and Jaykwon Walton (22).

I had no idea Quinerly was 24. What's worst is he'll be 25 this month. Y'all, if you're born in the '90s, it's time to move on from college athletics...

Edit to add Jordan Brown will be 24 in December.

Do we have anybody close in age to those guys on our roster?

For the American to realistically be a 3 bid conference, we’d need Memphis and FAU to have good seasons but a 3rd team win the tournament. I’m just basing this off of the preseason rankings.

That third team might be your Mean Green! I don't think we will be playing our best basketball until the end of the year with all of the new guys, AND we will have a home court advantage at the tournament in Ft. Worth.

You don't just get to shoot at people because they come over to hang out and you later decide you want them gone. Plus they were in an Uber leaving his house when he shot into the car.
