La Tech always acted like they were bigger and better than they were. Because of that thinking, they are now stuck in the worst conference in FBS. And ULM is now in a better setup.

What has happened to them is what we could only dream would happen to SMU. And I guess, from TCU's persepctive, it has...

In what world does ULM have a better setup then La Tech? Are you basing this solely on game results this year? La Tech is light years ahead of ULM in terms of facilities, staffing, and funding.

He's probably just referring to conference affiliation.  And he is certainly correct on that point.

Indeed. ULM is far better positioned than LaTech is. LaTech will just have to negative recruit against ULM and continue to maintain the perception of being better than ULM throughout their state. Otherwise, ULM could pass LaTech by pretty quickly. And, frankly, good for ULM.

I guess, but that is their only advantage. ULM is the definition of a poverty program. La Tech is much better setup to be a viable FBS program long-term.

Are you sure about that. I agree ULM is not spending. But LaTech isn't all that much better by all accounts. Part of why Holtz didn't mind parting ways was that he was tired of them not being willing to spend with the UTSA, UAB, FAU and UNTs of the world.

Yes. Listen to Chandler Rogers interview with The Green Room. Talks about how ULM doesn't have a real training staff (all graduate assistants) and doesn't provide players meal plans.

Yeah, he's gotta' be so much happier to be here.  I mean, if nothing else, he's not in Monroe.

When you say meal plan, what are you specifically referring too? If you live in a dorm, meal are part of it.

Evidently not at ULM, or more likely that the athletic department doesn’t cover that cost.
