Let’s not lose sight of the fact that this was an embarrassing 21-0 halftime deficit. The team and/or coaches weren’t prepared.
I am so proud the team didn’t quit but where was all this energy and success the first half?

Very proud of the second half effort. If we can learn to do that in the 1st half too, we will be a really good AAC team. The rest of our schedule doesn't look as bleak after this performance.

But, the receivers have to learn to sit in the zones and let Chandler deliver the ball. Those passes weren't behind them. They were in the open spots in the zone. And, while the defense can come up with big plays, they still can't consistently stop the run.

Definitely agree regarding the WRs. They should know if it’s a zone and when to settle.
I thought the run defense was so much better. Yes, they still allowed over a hundred yards to a RB, but those QB runs are what killed them.

Losing on the road to a ranked team by a TD is a good effort and we should be proud.  Still sucks to lose though, because it was there for the taking.

It was a tale of two halves. They need to put good halves together

Are you an idiot? That’s coaching. Again this staff was unprepared.
I am giving them credit for adjusting and rallying the team but the first half was completely on the coaching staff.

I feel very hopeful for the future.  Morris is building a culture.  Where have you worked where a new leader with brand new managers were their most successful in their first year?  What about a Sports team?

I was only able to follow the game loosely since I was at work, and haven't had the chance to watch the game, but it sounds like the staff may finally be getting things figured out.

I think I can settle down for the year. We are 3-3 and holding against a ranked team. If this is the bottom, I am eager to see the top (giggity)

The fire Morris, etc talk should have never even started. Just stupid.

Had to record the game due to a prior commitment and of course it shut off prior to the final drive. 🤬🤬🤬

Really proud of this team and the staff. They could have mailed it in after that first half, but they fought back and made it a great game. I am excited for the future of this team and of the program.

That was a very difficult first half to watch.  I would like to know what the halftime Coach speech was and adjustments because the team looked much more motivated in the second half.  The TV announcers alluded to some type of talk at half from Morris?

Several times in the 2nd half, the announcers mentioned their defense was playing 2nd and 3rd string players, especially DBs.  Was this due to injuries or just trying to get PT for lower tier players?  Did this factor into our comeback?

If you were the coach, would you wait til the game was close to put your starters back in the game? Even if their coach played the bench, he more than likely put them all back in when it was at least within 14 points.

Our defense came up with some big plays today, but still can't consistently hold up against the run, and is still ranked among the worst in the FBS. That's all on Caponi. In my opinion, Caponi's body of work should absolutely be evaluated at the end of this season. Just like we want to get the best players, we need to go find the best coaches.

I agree, at the end of the season. This started by some posters during the Cal game and that is ridiculous.

Yes, but in fairness, we looked a lot worse in the first two games of the season too. And, we were told by Morris at the AAC media days how this team was ready to compete for the title. Of course fans are going blow up. Even Morris has conceded that he made mistakes with how he was running the program.

Now that over half the season has been played, there's no point in making changes right now. It's only logical to wait until the end of the season to evaluate and make changes.
