What were you saying about giving up deep balls?

Please don’t say that anymore 😂😂

The 50 was good against the option 40 years ago. But, offenses are much faster and multiple now. The 50 just can't hold up when offenses (even Navy) stretch the field. I can almost guarantee you than UNT will not feature it beyond this game. If Navy starts running play actions against this 50, we will get into trouble.

WTF!!! We need 20 yds for FG range, and we throw a screen for 2 yds. What a freaking waste!!!

And b4 that tried to get cute and run undeaneath the blitz and got our RB smoked.

All things considered, if we can hold Navy to only another 13 in the 2nd half, I like our chances.

Navy is doing this incredible thing when they get to the ball carrier…something I haven’t seen at DATCU in a long time.

They’re wrapping up and knocking the offensive player down.

Quite literally.  I just had my 40th HS reunion last weekend and that's what we had been running since Jr High.

I was a nose guard in a 50 defense back in school. I know it well. While better than a 3-3-5, it isn't ideal for us.

After 1 half the Offense is doing worse than expected

Defense is doing better, but how focus can they remain in the 2nd half, they faltered in 2nd half in every game this season. If want to win they will have to stay strong.

Who the F was that blitzer who whiffed on the qb? Never even broke down but just passed him? Ridiculous

Wes is going to be a great LB for us for years to come. But he definitely missed that sack.

Our defensive coach was an old Marine that was built like a fire hydrant.  He's one of those guys that played in the 40s in a leather helmet.  Numerous times, when he got mad in practice, he jumped into line drills and went up against guys in pads...and whooped 'em.  Definitely not something to run in modern times.

We really need a stop on this first series of the half.  Likely need a turnover at some point too.

This is my least favorite UNT helmet. There's so little contrast between the dark green Texas and black eagle that if a person in that helmet committed a crime, no witness would know what school they were from.
