Just saw a video on my Facebook feed on the history of Cam Ward and the trememdous impact Coach Morris has had on the kid. Right now he is a heisman candidate.I believe Coach has proven he can definitely spot and develop qb talent. This is his proven reputation and should attract additional qb talent to UNT which is a must for us because of the NIL. Let him be known as the new qb guru. This is why I wanted hired. With success on the field he is 2-3 years more before leaving. Someone could offer him a ton of money to OC sooner but I think it would have to be a head coaching job.
Dinner is lost and it send like he has given up. Unfortunately, he has a $3.6 million dollar buyout.
So he'll probably be there until next year at least.
I definitely agree with that. We start getting our share from the AAC next season, albeit only 50% I believe. So, I’m excited for the new revenue stream and what we can do with that.
Milestone Electric had $80 million in revenue in 2020 and $150 million in 2022. This per The Successful Contractor podcast which the owner was on in 2020 and 2022.
To the original topic, winning cures all for sure. Something I wonder is if recent college graduates are working more on the weekends than previous generations. Either way, we need consistent high-level winning. My kids know UNT. I'm sure everybody else here has raised their kids around UNT. How many alumni were raised as fans of traditional power programs and will raise their kids as such despite going to UNT themselves? Have a few 10+ win seasons and maybe lifelong fans will be made of our current students. One things for sure, you can't have 1 bowl win in 20 years and zero 10+ win seasons in your history and expect people to care. The program needs better results on a consistent basis.
