Giving a break to all the negativity with one optimistic/hopeful thread. Don't worry, I'll be the first to admit that I have spewed my share of negativity on here and social media. But I don't want to just give up until basketball season.

If you have been on the fence and/or thought you were not going to go to Ruston this upcoming weekend to watch the Green play LA Tech, I encourage you to make the move and go. The game starts at 6 p.m. so you can eat lunch at home and still make it to Alliet Stadium with time to spare. And if you want to save some money on a hotel, be back home around 1/2 a.m. on Sunday. Tickets after fees are only $23 each through the UNT website. You could realistically drop less than $200 on the entire trip, especially if you stay away from the casinos.

Hopefully the AD has seen all of the comments on social media demanding better from our team. Our players surely have all read it. You would hope D1 athletes would use it as fuel but in this new transfer portal age, all it may do is help push them out. If we want to salvage this season and aim for a respectable 4-8 or 5-7 year (respectable considering how Games 1-2 went), we need to sell out of our allotment and have a full, loud sea of green in our two designated sections. Plus, it's a good look for the people who'd like this rivalry and want to see us continue scheduling each other.

We [should] have our undoubted starter in Chandler Rogers who looked a lot better this weekend than last, throwing for over 200 yards in just a half. This is also the opponent our running core thrashed for nearly 500 yards a year ago. It may take a 55-48 type of game, but let's give our team that added fire to help boost them to victory. That first win under a new staff will be a huge confidence boost for everyone: players, coaches, and fans.

I hope you all will join me and my two buddies who will be making the trip. I anticipate getting a few eye rolls, I know I have endured much less losing football than most people here have. But I hope to see you all in Ruston! GMG!

Yes they are, they might even go to Tulsa later in season.

I'm debating on going. It all depends on if I want to spend the money and time to drive all that way for a kick to the nuts, or if I'd just rather go down to Harry Hines and pay a $mut parent to do the same for cheaper.
