Ladies dominate and win 4-0. All four goals were in the first half.

Why do we play these teams?  We completely over match them. I can’t see this as being helpful in prepping us for conference play.

Most P5’s won’t come to Denton, plain and simple…scared of losing and you have to balance home & away games. Second, Texas played UTRGV as well this year so it’s not out of the ordinary. Third, I would say that UNT’s high ranking in the region is legit…Texas St who we beat 3-0 on the road just won at Houston and our 5-0 win at ORU was big because Oral Roberts just upset Kansas St in Manhattan 2-1. Being ranked top three in the region is based on the schedule/big wins and to be ranked ahead of consistent ncaa tournament teams like SMU, South Florida is an achievement.

Ladies looked good, similar to the other home games so far, the opponent rarely got opportunities to threaten on offense. Just curious how they bridge the gap between the P5's and avoid 6-1 losses.

First conference game in Memphis against the #16 Lady Tigers will be a huge test.

Thank you.  I figured most P5's would avoid coming to Denton.  I didn't mean my comment to be derogatory, but my goodness, we just completely demoralized that poor team.  We controlled the ball the entire game, outshot them 28-1, had nine corners to their one and they had zero shots on goal.  I hope we are that good.
