The LSU tour was: Here are all the resources we are going to provide your kid to succeed in college and here are all the connections we have to get your kid a great job once they graduate.

Houston, Dallas, Austin, Atlanta, Nashville, and Charlotte all are very thankful for all the LSU grads the State of Louisiana produces for its out of state neighbors.

I don’t love it, but it’s way better than the one they ran last year. The one where the hipster girl with the dyed hair and cow print pants tried to convince the viewer UNT is so much cooler than other universities #KillMe #Cringe

They keep running the UNT commercial with the time progression of the young lady getting her UNT acceptance letter, going to UNT, having college experiences, graduating and then… getting a crummy office job in a cubicle?

Really? That’s the best we can do? It’s a freaking UNT commercial!!! It is supposed to inspire parents and kids to the possibilities and opportunities that a UNT degree can open.

Couldn’t we have at least given her a corner office with a nice window view of a big city?

Nope, our message is: Come to UNT, where you can graduate and get the type of soul sucking clerical job that is available to anyone with a high school diploma.

Think bigger North Texas!!!

Morons. Our marketing department is run by children, at best, or morons at worse. Who are we marketing to? Kids, who's main focus seems to be climate change and "equity?" Or big time, potential doners who want to see a return on their investment in the fields of science, business, biomedical or aerospace engineering? We are a Tier One research university, yet it only gets mentioned in passing. Why are we not promoting the UNT system? Our medical school in Ft. Worth, our law school in Dallas, not to mention our flagship with over 40,000 students with so many undergraduate degrees? We miss the mark on so many levels. It's no wonder we get no attention of our potential greatness. Too little emphasis on the truly important things a university should bring to the State of Texas and nationally. We only seem to focus on "best buy," "most diverse" and "best college food" which is all fine, but with our overall small endowment and lack of large doners, it appears to me, we're missing the mark. Yes, we can and should do better.
