Tarp Behind Visitor Bench

I was at DATCU Stadium today and saw the middle three sections on the student side for the first few rows covered with green tarp with adds for Rosa's, Marty B's, DATCU etc.

Is this an AAC rule? I don't remember it being there last year.

This was a thing at one point the students had to be 2 or 3 rows back. So dumb if it's true

Not new.  I think it was a CUSA rule, you had to be X number of feet away from the visiting bench.

Looks like this rule is in place in the AAC, too.

Increasing the distance the students are from the visiting bench does little to nothing in stopping taunts from being hurdled at the visiting team. It's a silly, feel good rule.

CUSA eventually got rid of that rule, too. Something Judy did right.
