So I was reading the lists of cuts that were published by the NFL. It appears the following former UNT players have been cut. Additionally, Jaelon Darden is on the chopping block (another thread started and updated) for the Browns. If he doesn't make the team we will be 1-5-1 for players on the active roster.

Kemon Hall-  Los Angeles Chargers

Nate Brooks- San Francisco 49ers

 La'Darius Hamilton- San Francisco 49ers

Jordan Murray- Indianapolis Colts (early camp cut)

One note to add, Jalen Guyton (Chargers) was added to the PUP list. So essentially, he won't be playing the first few weeks. The good news os that he's guaranteed his normal base salary while on the PUP list

The one bright spot is Jeff Wilson Jr. He's been killing it as a Dolphin. I even added him to my fantasy football team on Saturday lol.

Darden isn't on the trading block, if anything he's on the chopping block. Another WR is on the trading block because Darden wouldn't bring any value back because of him missing the pre-season due to injury (according to the article). The article makes it seem like Darden would be kept because their return guy got hurt and Darden has that in his bag and the other WR doesn't.

I guess that's what I get for skimming NFL articles during work calls lol. I re-read the article and you are correct. He's on the bubble as the 6th WR.

What I have read about Darden the last couple of years has been disappointing.  Sounds like he doesn't get into the playbook enough which is surprising, because I thought he was one of the hardest workers on the team while at North Texas.  Hope he finds a home.

It surprises me as well. I wonder if he felt discouraged from his time in Tampa. You can dig into the playbook as much as you want, you're not getting much time behind Chris Godwin, Mike Evans, and Antonio Brown. Add in Rob Gronkowski and nearly all targets are split between those guys.

I think he'll get another chance but probably not much more after that. Hope he makes it.

Working hard physically and understanding an NFL playbook probably are not the same thing.

You are right. They are two separate issues and that isn’t good.
