I know (or hope) that everyone will be drinking lots of water to go with your other beverages.  What else is everyone doing to make tailgating bearable?  
 

I am considering some of the bucket top misting fans, but don’t know enough about them to drop several hundred dollars if they won’t be an all-day solution.

At the Ranger games they have buckets of ice water for you to drench your towel in and drape it on the back and around your neck. Wish they could have ice bins and cooling houses Around the stadium.

The Parker county peach festival had drop zones for people to cool down. Don’t think this can happen in DATCU but the ice bath zones would be helpful. 

Just a note, people drop like flys waiting to get into Globe Life Field in game days. Medical dispatched often, during these summer games.  In our stadium medical might be on overdrive. We need to check on each other and make sure everyone is fully hydrated and okay throughout the 3 hour event. Including the Green Brigade. 

But once again bring your crazy into DATCU Cal ain’t gonna know what hit them.

Rotating between water, Gatorade, Pedialyte, and light beer (keeping to a minimum this first week) in the parking lot. During the game, I am only drinking Water or Powerade. If I am too miserable, I will leave during the 2nd half and watch at a bar.

Kobalt bucket fan works great. At low speed the charge is supposed to last 6 hours.

I have a bucket misting fan. It's battery powered and will last a couple hours. I already had a couple of the same battery packs.

It can pump out of the bucket or water supply hose.

Instead of the tie, I will be using one of those cooling towels, bringing in my own water bottle that will be frozen and will bring some hydration/electrolyte packets to mix in.  Cooler of beer in the truck for the post game celebration.

Good food, the AC works and so does the heat when its cold outside. So yes, worth the money. That said, I prefer my seats downstairs where getting noisy happens. I go up for a beverage and some grub at halftime.

What about a much larger towel that I soak and wrap around my waist? Sun shirt, big wet towel, umbrella hat, pair of flippy floppies...

      What's the appeal of Carthel? Honest question. I don't follow FCS closely, but it seems like every time a position opens up at UNT people on the board want Carthel to fill it. I see he won the NCAA Division II championship in 2017 and has an overall record of 89–48 which are both impressive. However, his run at SFA from a W/L perspective looks similar to Seth's at UNT in that he built up the program in a few years, but he seems to be plateauing over the past few years. I'd love to hear more about what the advocates see in him and why he'd be a good fit for UNT specifically.

      Odus Mitchell - What Exactly are Too High Standards at UNT?

      I really want people to read this: https://meangreensports.com/honors/north-texas-athletics-hall-of-fame/odus-mitchell/3 This man was and still is very much under appreciated here. I love the legend of Mean Joe anyone under 50 can remember seeing prime NFL Mean Joe playing. There is no Joe Greene in a North Texas uniform without Odus Mitchell. We have low expectations because with dismiss what Mitchell showed us was possible here. Heaps of excuses and disgruntled fans attacking each other on our board. Odus Mitchell is the kind of "Old Denton" I want. And MAYBE if we truly honored him properly and consistently as the MOST IMPORTANT FIGURE in Mean Green Football history we could knock off some of the negative karma. The Mean Joe Coke commercial is cute but is never something remotely associated with UNT Football without Mitchell rebuilding the program from WWII hiatus, winning, integrating CFB in Texas, and bringing Mean Joe to Denton. Hayden Fry doesn't have enough in Denton to come and rescue without Mitchell. How this program has underachieved for 20 years is an insult to his legacy imo. I wasn't alive for his tenure and likely you weren't either. But legacy is about what you can read about when there aren't cute videos!
