Not a ton of info but interesting nonetheless. I think we win this battle with our supior conference director and better tv deal. https://saturdayoutwest.com/pac-12/mwc-aac-reportedly-pitching-expansion-presentations-for-pair-of-pac-12-programs/

Why does every headline need a new thread?

Simple solution. Not to be an ass, but don't open it if you're not interested

947+ replies on the other thread. Information has become too mixed, IMO.

How is having everything about the same topic in 1 place not better? This way fragments the same conversation across various threads. It's redundant *and inefficient.

Sorry. Not keeping up with every post in that mega thread. It's that simple as to why a separate thread title.

You need to read every post in a thread to throw up a simple headline and start talking about it?

Dump it in the mega thread and say what you want.  You don't have to read anything else.  If it was already posted and talked about , let the other dogs fight amongst themselves.  Not your problem and no one will come at ya about where you posted it.

I don't know if its true, but just heard on radio 1310 Sports that the PAC 12 is due $65 million for its share of NCAA basketball money. They also said that you must be a member of the PAC 12 to get a share and that those who left get nothing. That leaves the PAC 2 due $65million, BUT they must be a viable conference to collect otherwise they get nothing. To be a viable conference you need 6 members within the next two years and/or a plan to gain up 6 members in 2 years. The MWC buyout drops back to $17 million in 2025 and I'm not sure what the AAC's is. The PAC 2 could use the $65million to help offset conference buyouts but that would leave them in a small conference with no media contract. Since the MWC buyout is still cost prohibitive at $17 millionin 2025  the PAC 2 could poach 6 AAC schools, kicking in up to $10 million per program to help with the buyout. That gives them 8 programs in a G5 PAC 8 conference with no media contract. Interesting times.

It won't happen.  The P2 needs games for 2024 and can't wait till 2025 to get new members.  Plus the Pac overall has a $50m debt they owe a cable company plus two additional law suits.   It costs lots of $$ to hire conference staff and they have no media contracts beyond 2023.
