IRVING, Texas (July 20, 2023) – The American Athletic Conference has announced the conference opponents for UNT women’s basketball for the 2023-24 season.

The Mean Green are set is set to play nine of 13 conference opponents inside the Super Pit in its first year.

The conference schedule, which consists of five home-and-home matchups, four road only matchups and four home-only matchups, is comprised of 18 games.

On the 2023-24 slate, North Texas will have home and away contests with UAB, Charlotte, Florida Atlantic and UTSA and SMU.

The Mean Green will also welcome East Carolina, Memphis, Tulane and Wichita State to the Super Pit for the lone matchups between the programs.

Finally, UNT will travel to Rice, USF, Temple and Tulsa for road-only contests to round out the schedule.

The complete 2023-24 women’s basketball composite schedule with dates and times will be announced at a later date. The first conference dates will be December 29-31, 2023 and league play will run through March 6, 2024. The 2024 American Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Championship will expand to a 14-team tournament and be held at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, March 9-13.
