Cornerback Kemon Hall was undrafted out of North Texas in 2019. He signed with the Chargers and played with the team through the preseason before going on the practice squad early in the regular season.

After being released by Los Angeles, Hall bounced around the league and spent time with the Vikings, Saints and Cowboys.

Hall was brought back in 2021. In the past two seasons, Hall appeared in 18 games, combining for eight tackles and a fumble recovery. He has primarily been used as a special teamer.

With such an influx of talent at the cornerback position, it isn’t a stretch to think that Hall could be on the fringe during roster cutdowns in August.

He will need to produce strong showings in training camp and the preseason to warrant his continued inclusion in the Chargers organization.

Contract (2023): $940,000 base salary, no prorated bonus, $940,000 cap hit.

Acquired: Hall was claimed off waivers by the Chargers in 2021.

Jalen Guyton may not be the most well-known receiver on the Los Angeles Chargers roster heading into the 2023 season, but he proved to be an asset for the team last year. After entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2019, he carved out a niche for himself with the Bolts after being released from his initial contract with the Cowboys following training camp that year.

He has managed to make a name for himself as a blazing-fast target for Justin Herbert after initially cutting his teeth with former quarterback Tyrod Taylor in 2020. A torn ACL in Week 3 of the 2022 season ended his last campaign, but if he stays healthy, he could be primed to surprise some fans with his savvy big-play ability as a downfield threat for Kellen Moore’s new-look Los Angeles offense.

In his four seasons with Los Angeles, Guyton has 61 catches for 1,023 yards and six touchdowns while starting 11 of the 38 games he appeared in.

Contract (2023): $1,080,000 base salary, $76,000 prorated bonus, $1,029,500 cap hit.

Acquired: Guyton was signed to the Chargers practice squad on October 23, 2019, and was first promoted to the team’s active roster on November 30 of the same year.
