Season ticket sales

Has NT published any numbers yet on season ticket sales?  I’ve seen some other schools publish some numbers but haven’t seen anything out of Denton.

UH just published theirs at around 24K, even though this is gonna be a tough year for them in Big 12 +2 since they lost players to graduation and transfer portal.  Hopefully our fans start coming back with the changed in the program leadership and a new conference.

I asked when they were looking for podcast questions, but it wasn't addressed. I took that to mean the numbers are not where we'd like them to be.

Well look, I live about an hour and a half away and work Saturdays but said F it this year and got the 3 pack of tickets for Temple, Memphis, and UTSA. I'll figure out work when I get to those dates. The website gives you the best available seats, which, for those 3 games in the endzone seating was section 112 row 2 so I take that as there's plenty of availability if the second row had 5 seats together available. I plan on making it to the SMU road game as well since it's a bit closer to home and is on a Friday evening so it's easier for me to make. Hopefully Morris can lead UNT to a big win against Cal to start things off. The 3 following that should all result in wins. I have no idea about Navy but head into the Temple game at 4-1 and available seating should tighten up a bit.

I haven't been this optimistic in a while. I've made it to some road games in recent years but haven't been able to make it up to Denton on Saturdays. Very busy work season. Anyways, let's win some games and see that stadium fill up a bit.

They will never release that information. Self inflicted embarrassment doesn't seem self serving. Though they should, so accountability can be put forth. 

Season tickets sold and donor levels outside of the W/L are the 2 most important parts of the AD's job (3rd would be building). In modern UNT athletics Rick set a precedent by never sharing. Other ADs to follow realized he never disclosed that information and held his job for years. They have followed suit.

Even though I live in the Houston area I bit the bullet and bought a couple season seats for $99 each using the promotion.  If we can’t make all the games then someone can have my two seats and blue lot parking for the game.  Hopefully they give us a reason to make the trips up and we have good weather in the fall.

Really like this idea.  Even if you can’t make all the games buy season tickets to show your support.

Glad you could do that. I bought 4 on the 3 game plan tickets for me, my wife, and my 2 youngest kids. The 5th ticket for 3 games will go to a family member who wants to/can go. If I didn't have work obligations it wouldn't be as big of a deal but I can't justify buying 5 season tickets and letting them go to waste with young kids to feed. Still, UNT sporting events is my entertainment of choice. We've made several basketball games over the years and I don't see that stopping either. Always a good time. More people would realize that if they'd just show up.

Towards the end of last season so many talked of walking away from NT Football. Did they?

Me...I just keep paying for my 4 seats every year.

I’d like to hear of any new Marketing plans or Push for ticket sales to Business, Senior groups, TWU, Denton, Metroplex, etc.

I think the hiring of Eric Morris headed off most of that and I believe (and I guess we will see in 6 or so weeks) Coach Morris has reinvigorated the fanbase. 

Plus, we will see how well Jared does this fall with getting the word out and game day prep.

Similar for me ... I bought 4 season tickets this year after taking a 2-year hiatus from having season tickets.  While I know that I can only make about 3 games, I want to support the new regime however I can.
