Ain't no way the PAC12 is the third best conference.

1. $EC

2. Big Ten

3. Big XII

4. ACC

5. PAC12 (for now)

6. AAC

7. MWC

8. Sun Belt

9. CUSA

10.  MAC

I don't count the Indy's as a conference.

A few observations:

  1. The Sun Belt has done a good job putting together tough programs with very few resources the past few years. Kudos to them.
  2. I'm very glad we're no longer in C-USA.
  3. Great to see the AAC as the solid #6. I trust Aresco will continue to do everything possible to move the conference up the list or at minimum create more separation between the AAC and others ranked below.

SEC, BIG10. ACC, BIG12. PAC, AAC, MW, SBC, MAC, CUSA.

I would not be surprised to see the SBC surge to challenge the AAC and MW. The AAC must dictate to its universities budget dollars to maintain and continue widening the gap from the others.

PAC12 is getting a lot of love this year because they have 3 QBs in the top 10 Heisman odds. (Williams, Penix, Nix)

Seems like a weird ranking. Pac12 is only that high because the haven't factored in the LA teams leaving. Mountain west being that low is because they have anticipated the losses they will have. Strange.

Notre Dame is the only reason that Independents are getting any love.

It’s about teams not individuals

Those that think the PAC-12 is too high, take a look at the final 2023 rankings.

Obviously the SEC had a lot of the top 10 teams, as did the Big 10.  But aside from them, you had TCU at 2 with only Kansas State and Texas (with Texas barely in at 25) in the top 25 and you had multiple Pac 12 teams in those rankings.

when USC and UCLA leave that will obviously change things, but for now they are there and factor into the rankings.

The PAC12 still has USC and UCLA this year. Ditto for Big XII with Texas and OU as well as Houston, Cincinnati and UCF.  Those two will drop next year.
